"We designed the computer simulations to show that as the ocean temperature increased, hurricanes would form more rapidly and easily, even in the presence of wind shear," says Nolan, associate professor of Meteorology at the Rosenstiel School. "Instead, we got exactly the opposite result. As the water temperature increased, the effectiveness of the wind shear in suppressing hurricane formation actually became greater." Wow, those were only four years ago; seems like a lifetime.
I know you wish we would all forget the other jumping-off place longboard by esteemed longboard maker break previous to that action. Does Aries have six toes? (forgive the "Princess Bride" oldie; but), "Inconceivable!" |

Orient: Ah yes, the Percocet Pier incident (circa Feb 2004)! 
Yeah, just trow the pretty 700 dollah or so Will Allison 9'0" off the nearing 25 foot or so pier into an associated 10-15 kt or so W wind, then jump
quickly off right-after from the E'stearn wood extension side. Priceless. Actually the double stringer 8/8/8 held up buckle-well after I landed on it,
only to be consumed into tiny pieces and bits about one hour 39 degree water temp later on the outer glassy and tubing double overhead going backside left bar.
Thank the good Lord Mr. Patton was out there too-to drag my drowning carcass all the 300 yards or so paddle-swim inn. Later that after a long ferry sore ride
back afternoon, I'll never forget the look on Mr. X-Ray hunter local hospital lupton mans' face after I told him watt happened after he, asking me, why
I was emergency check-up Carteret County there? A long drop story, one my drifting away thoughts every now and on rare thinking about it occasion just before
falling asleep remind me of just how many angels had to come into work overtime that OBX morning. 
And hague...looks like a way wants to eventually come up this Fay.
