Nope, maybe not 2pm, more like 7pm.
I tried to wait it out but finally decided to give it a shot around 4:30 although it was still side shore wind. After about 20 minutes of drifting and duck diving I still wasn't outside. Made the long walk into the wind, took a little rest and gave it another shot. After another 10 minutes of drifting and duck diving I finally reached the outside. Stayed out about an hour, caught a handful of rides, nothing too great. Not that there weren't good rides to be had, I just wasn't scoring them. It was tough, wind was whipping, still side shore too. It seemed like it was starting to rotate a little by the time I left around 6:30, maybe 45 degree offshore angle. But it was really blowing hard, I got sandblasted making the walk back into the wind. After I got home and got out of the shower, I checked the cam, around 7:30pm, and it was finally looking offshore. |

Edison Darryl: You would have been write on the 2pm moneyshot mark had the oncoming Low traversed OUT (i.e.; to thee NE) and OFF and INTO the DELMARVA waters (i.e.; thus into the sea and THEN CURVE UP to near a Big Apple Record label landing like it was supple hose to Hal and Hope along with a myriad-mirage of computer models analysis map up and out so do) and NOT HEAD STRAIGHT UP the dam eastern seaboard amtrack train line. The marching STRAIGHT UP motion vice marching STRAIGHT OUT potion kept it all SW-like for a much longer than needed hour upon hour like. Still...perfect heat on your part, as you win your namesake beachbreak Expression Session hands outstretched and drifting duck diving down. PS: Hope and Hal were "close"...but still, OFF a W wind directional switch attitude tad. Still, they weren't "off" as I was today when after using up a LARGE BOTTLE of mouthwash in the bathroom, I went into the bathroom cabinet (where Mrs Ice keeps all the bathroom supplies) and replaced what I thought to be ("what I thought to be" the key words here) a LARGE BOTTLE of mouthwash, with a LARGE BOTTLE of liquid handsoap cleaner (guess the "antibacterial" part confused me  )! Mrs Ice noticed it and asked me if I was going out of my mind?! I told her I must be slowly getting there and thanks for looking out for me (for I no as sure as I'm still here I'dhave probably gargoyled the brite-golden-looking wash stuff write down and...yuk).Blame it ("it" being winds and wrong choice of rinsewash) on globalgore warming. |
